Loved this performance by this talented string quartet. When will people learn that they should not talk during live music performances as if they are at home in their own living room? It’s not a rock concert or a rodeo. This was an intimate setting which made it incredibly noticeable. There was only one piece that was uninterrupted.
The Olympic South Side Theater is a good sized room but small enough to make you feel like part of the show. Dead Original did a good job opening, and set the tone for the night. Smells Like Nirvana (same band), followed with energy that matched the crowd. This venue was a perfect place for this concert.
Gorgeous venue! We hosted a news conference at the Olympic and were very pleased with the location and amenities. The staff went above and beyond to help us make the event be successful. Highly recommend The Olympic! We are fortunate to have such a beautiful event venue in Cedar Rapids.
Newbo Cedar Rapids- went to the South side Bluesfest there Saturday night. What a neat venue, rich with Bohemian history, nicely restored. Great sound for bands, drinks were reasonably priced. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Definitely will go back for more events.
