I attended a raks sharqi dance workshop here this past weekend. What a lovely studio! The owner Maysa is gracious and talented, her talented workshop presenter was the incomparable Sadie (IYKYK). I traveled from another city to attend, so new space for me and my Service Dog. She made accommodations for me and my companion, and no dancers were inconvenienced. That includes me! If all of studio clases are anything like this workshop they hosted, you will not be disappointed.

Basma is a body positive dance experience no matter what your fitness level. I have taken Persian Classical dance, Trans-national bellydance, and Raqs Sharki, plus workshops. Every class encourages you to bring out your best self and leave the self-criticism at the door.

My heart is overwhelmed with joy and gratitude every time I attend a class. It’s such a blessing to be apart of a community with such empowering energy! The environment is very inclusive, positive, and enriching. Highly recommend attending a class if not all! 😅

The welcome I received at this studio was so amazing. Wonderful people and community. And I finally started belly dancing again. I’m so excited to try all of the cool classes offered here.
