WSD is very important to my daughter. She feels free to express herself in class. She meets dancers and has friendships from all over Charlottesville/Albemarle County because she attends this school. Juanita Wilson Duquette and her dance studio are Charlottesville institutions. However, not stale and stuck. The new ideas flow due to enthusiastic teachers that love the art of dance. This school is a great value. My daughter is not only learning dance but how to be a good member of this community.

Wilson School of Dance gave me a great experience. I am not a traditional dance student, but the faculty was able to make allowances and, in fact, encourage me in spite of my slower learning style. In the classes, I hardly realized I had specific difficulties. I enjoyed being part of the classes. Everyone was always, always courteous, pleasant, and passionate about learning the dancing. I always wanted to learn to my greatest capacity because it was fun at the Wilson School of Dance.

My daughter took dance classes at the Wilson School of Dance for a number of years, and it was an excellent experience. We found quality instruction and caring teachers. In addition to developing her dance talent, my daughter gained self-confidence and valuable experience in teamwork, which continue to help her in life. We both enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships that grew there. I highly recommend Wilson School of Dance!

I've been a part of this school for 22 years. They are highly trained teachers who will offer instruction in a warm and loving environment. Both my daughters danced here – and my younger daughter takes 7 classes a week and is an instructor herself now. If you want a safe, loving place for exercise, to make friends, for fun or to become pre-professional, Wilson School of Dance is a great place to be.
