Westside Dance Academy is a premier dance school located in Waukee, Iowa. We are dedicated to providing quality dance instruction and performance opportunities to students of all ages and levels. Our mission is to foster a love of dance and to create a supportive and encouraging environment for our students.

History

Westside Dance Academy was founded in 2011 by professional dancer and choreographer, Karen P. Smith. Karen has been teaching dance for over 20 years and has a passion for sharing her knowledge and experience with her students. In addition to teaching at Westside Dance Academy, Karen also serves as a judge for local and international dance competitions.

Classes

Westside Dance Academy offers a variety of classes for all ages and levels. Our classes include ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and musical theater. We also offer classes for competitive dancers, including solo and duo performances.

Faculty

Westside Dance Academy is proud to have an experienced and talented faculty. Our instructors are highly qualified and have a passion for teaching. They are dedicated to helping each student reach their fullest potential and achieve their goals.

Performances

Westside Dance Academy offers performance opportunities for our students. We host an annual recital, as well as several other performances throughout the year. Our students have the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents in a professional setting.

Competitions

Westside Dance Academy is proud to be an active participant in the competitive dance circuit. Our students have the opportunity to compete in regional and national competitions. We also offer preparation classes to help our dancers prepare for competitions.

Schedule and Contacts

Westside Dance Academy is open Monday through Friday from 3:30-9:30 PM. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
