History

The Vermont School of Dance was founded in 1982 by former professional dancer and choreographer, Mary Ellen Wilson. After a successful career as a professional dancer, Mary Ellen wanted to give back to the community by offering quality dance instruction to the youth of Vermont.

Since its inception, the school has been committed to providing the highest quality dance instruction and performance opportunities to students of all ages. The school has grown over the years and now offers a wide variety of classes, from beginner to advanced levels.

Classes

The Vermont School of Dance offers classes in ballet, ballroom dancing, and other forms of dance. Classes are available for both children and adults, and all levels of experience are welcome. The school also offers private lessons and group classes.

The school offers classes in a variety of styles, including classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and more. In addition, the school offers classes in ballroom dancing, including waltz, tango, foxtrot, cha-cha, and more.

Performances

The school also offers performance opportunities for its students. The school has a performance troupe that performs regularly at local events and festivals. The school also offers recitals and showcases throughout the year.

The Vermont School of Dance is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm and on Saturdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
