My wife booked this tour and I was a bit skeptic but was totally won over at the end. Not for kids but my 16 year old found it interesting. Airport style security checks means you have to allow time to get to the tour check in but during August it was very quick but could imagine with the UN is in full swing it could be a long line. There is a small cafeteria downstairs if you are early and fancy a coffee etc. Also a nice shop that sells t shirts etc and lots of books for insomniacs

I went on a tour of the UN. I love geography, vexillology and just all things country. So when I got to visit the place where some of the most I'mportant political people and descions have gone or been made, you can imagine how much fun I had. The tour guide was professional yet nice. The artifacts and works of art and just things there were very interesting and I loved them. Visiting one of the most famous rooms in the world was amazing. Pic below if needed! Totally recommend!

Very interesting place to visit whether you are visiting from abroad or within US. Like other attractions in NYC this place also has a TSA-like security screening process, except this place took a bit longer because you need to check in first at a designated location (which is NOT at the visitor center in Google map) so do a bit of research beforehand. Also make sure to book a tour ticket in advance if you want to see the actual general assembly conference rooms.

We were not sure what to expect from this trip but we were pleasantly surprised. we were able to visit most of the areas of the UN. We visit the security council meeting room. Nevertheless this did not distract from the visit. The cafeteria there is very nice as is the book shop and gift shop – which endeavours to sell stuff from UN nations. Overall a great way to spend a few hours, well worth a visit. There are cafeterias in all floors and wings
