HWSD is a wonderful dance school with great teachers! My daughter took classes there for 14 years (Creative Movement, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, and Modern) and helped out at the recitals after she graduated. I started taking the Adult Power Dance class (now known as Cardio Groove Fitness) in 2010 and I am currently in my 10th year, with Donna Viau as the instructor. It’s a great mix of stretch, cardio dance, and work with hand weights. I love it and look forward to class each week!

My daughter who is now 21 had many amazing years at HWSD, and now my youngest, my 7 year old is loving her ballet class too! HW is special because they focus on the love of dance and artistic creativity without the pressure of competition. The teachers are amazing. The classes not only teach dance skills but confidence and friendship. I have recommended them to several people!

I went to HWSD all throughout high school, I took Jazz with Ms Deej, Modern with Ms. Bonnie, and Ballet with Ms. Carol. The professionalism and dedication to the art along with the on-going encouragement ignited my passion that followed me throughout college. HWSD gives their students a solid foundation, builds confidence, and provides a safe environment to learn and have fun.

I danced at The HWSD for 13 years and loved every single year! I looked forward to my ballet and pointe classes with Ms Katy and Ms Carol and always enjoyed working hard towards the recital in June. The environment is very friendly, nonjudgemental, supportive, and comfortable. The HWSD shaped my love and passion for dancing, so I am continuing to pursue ballet in college.
