Overview

Steppin Out Academy of Dance is a dance school, dance store, and performing arts group located in Schnecksville, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1991, Steppin Out has been providing quality dance instruction and performances to the Lehigh Valley area for over 25 years. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students of all ages and levels to grow and develop their dance skills. We offer classes in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, and more, as well as private lessons, workshops, and summer camps. We also have a full-service dance store offering shoes, apparel, and accessories for both children and adults. Our performing arts group, Steppin Out Dance Company, offers professional-level performances throughout the year.

History

Steppin Out Academy of Dance was founded in 1991 by the husband and wife team of John and Mary Smith. John and Mary had both been involved in the dance world for many years, and they wanted to create a safe and nurturing environment for their students to learn and grow. With the help of their two children, they opened Steppin Out and began offering classes in tap, jazz, ballet, and more. Over the years, Steppin Out has grown to include a full-service dance store, a performing arts group, and a variety of classes and workshops.

Classes and Programs

At Steppin Out, we offer a variety of classes and programs for students of all ages and levels. Our classes include tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, and more. We also offer private lessons, workshops, and summer camps. Our classes are taught by experienced and certified instructors who are passionate about dance and committed to helping each student reach their full potential.

Performing Arts Group

Steppin Out Dance Company is our professional-level performing arts group. Our dancers have performed at a variety of venues throughout the Lehigh Valley, including the State Theatre, Miller Symphony Hall, and the Allentown Art Museum. We also offer workshops and master classes for aspiring dancers.

Dance Store

Our full-service dance store offers shoes, apparel, and accessories for both children and adults. We carry a wide selection of dancewear from top brands, including Bloch, Capezio, and SoDanca. We also have a variety of accessories, such as tights, bags, and hair accessories.
