SPACE – Near & Arnold’s School of Performing Arts & Cultural Education from Ukiah is a vibrant and diverse performing arts theater in California. Located in the heart of Ukiah, SPACE offers an array of exciting and engaging performances, workshops, and classes for all ages.

About SPACE

SPACE was founded in 2007 by a group of local artists, educators, and community members who wanted to bring the performing arts to the Ukiah area. The theater is dedicated to fostering a culture of creativity through the arts, and has since become an integral part of the local community.

At SPACE, we strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for our students, performers, and audiences. We offer a variety of classes, workshops, and performances for all ages and abilities, from beginner to advanced. Our goal is to nurture the creative spirit in everyone and to provide a platform for local artists to express themselves.

Classes & Workshops

At SPACE, we offer a wide range of classes and workshops for all ages and abilities. Our classes include ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, modern, contemporary, improvisation, musical theater, and more. We also offer classes in acting, stage combat, and musical composition. Our workshops are designed to give students the opportunity to explore different genres, techniques, and styles of performance.

Performances

SPACE is home to a variety of exciting performances. From musicals and plays to dance recitals and concerts, we strive to bring the best of the performing arts to Ukiah. Our performances feature local artists and are designed to engage and inspire audiences of all ages.

At SPACE, we believe in the power of community. We strive to create a vibrant and diverse community of artists, educators, and audiences who are passionate about the performing arts. We offer a variety of events and activities throughout the year, including open mic nights, film screenings, and more.
