I am an independent Ballroom Dance Teacher and Choreographer and own a Dance Academy in North Houston. But occasionally for the convenience of some of my students from downtown I am renting ballroom at Sounbox Studio on Chimney Rock. It is spacious, has lots of mirrors, Owner is very nice and the system for renters is well organized. I appreciate the existence of Sounbox dance studio and wishing them to survive the difficult for all the art industry time of COVID19.

The moment you walk in to this place, you feel welcome. I'm about to make a year going there and I'm proud to say that I've become part of the family. The teachers are very inspiring and the staff has great customer service. Classes are a challenge including for beginners but the growth is worth it. I honestly can say this is my second home.

My 3 kids age 10, 11 and 16 started taking beginning hip hop classes here. The place is just a warehouse but it provides what's necessary for dancing-Open area & wall mirrors. Brette is amazing. She's very well prepared. She engages the students during the lesson. Pie is also a great instructor. The kids love their classes.

This place is so awesome!!! I love the owners, the company, and all the students. It is so fun of energy with great smiles and moves everywhere. I rent the small studios for private lessons and it is always so easy, clean, and nice. Thank you, Soundbox!!!
