Located in Nashville, Tennessee, the Scott-Ellis School of Irish Dance is the premier destination for all your Irish dance needs. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where dancers of all ages can learn, practice, and perform traditional Irish dance.

Our History

The Scott-Ellis School of Irish Dance was founded in 2006 by Irish dance instructors Michael Scott and Melissa Ellis. With a combined experience of over 25 years, Michael and Melissa have been teaching Irish dance in Nashville since 1998.

The school has grown steadily over the years, and now has over 200 students ranging in age from five to adult. Our students have competed at the regional, national, and international levels, and our instructors have been featured in publications such as Irish Dance Magazine, Irish Dance USA, and Dance Magazine.

Our Instructors

At the Scott-Ellis School of Irish Dance, we are proud to have some of the best instructors in the business. Our instructors are certified by the Irish Dance Commission and have extensive experience in teaching and competing at the highest levels of Irish dance.

Our instructors are also passionate about sharing their love of Irish dance with our students. They are committed to helping our students reach their fullest potential as dancers and as individuals.

Our Classes

At the Scott-Ellis School of Irish Dance, we offer a wide variety of classes for all ages and abilities. Our classes include beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes in traditional Irish step dancing, as well as classes in modern Irish step dancing, Irish ceili dancing, and Irish set dancing.

We also offer private lessons and workshops for those interested in furthering their Irish dance education. Our instructors are also available for special events such as weddings, parties, and corporate functions.

Our Schedule

The Scott-Ellis School of Irish Dance is open seven days a week and offers classes for all ages and abilities. Our classes are held at 805 Woodland St, Nashville, TN 37206.

Monday: 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Tuesday: 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Wednesday: 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Thursday: 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Friday: 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Saturday: 10:00am – 12:00pm

Sunday: 10:00am – 12:00pm
