Love the classmates and also the great instructors, especially Omar who's funny and makes learning Salsa fun but also demonstrates a real depth of knowledge beyond just teaching dance patterns. He can get into the nitty-gritty details and break down a move to make it easier to ubderstand or he can go into the history of salsa and certain moves which adds an extra layer on top of the lesson. They've got lots of social events and classes for all levels so I highly recommend them.
I've tried several dance studios locally, but this place is where I call my 'home' studio in the sense that 1) it's where I spend several nights each week, and 2) there's a real community here where the instructors, staff, and owner are all genuinely happy to see you progress (and more importantly having fun). Great instruction, great value, great investment if you're looking to pick up a new hobby, meet new friends, or continue your journey in dance.
My first time salsa lesson with Tyrone's instruction and explanation of "Salsa On Two" was a pleasurable experience. Tyrone breaks down the foot work which makes it easy to follow. The Same for "shines" pattern foot work. Partner work class with Tyrone was informative and fun, doing basic steps from hand hold position first followed by regular dance position. Anyone taking Tyrone's classes is blessed being his pupil. I highly recommend him.
My friends and I had an awesome time! The reception was courteous and registration process was quick. They greeted us with a smile and didn’t make a big deal that we were late. The instructor was very professional, fun and helpful. She took her job seriously but lightened the mood with clever jokes throughout the class. It was also a great exercise. We laughed, dance and broke a sweat. We already booked our next class 🙂
