Rye Ballet Conservatory was founded in 2010 by professional dancer and teacher, Mary Jane O’Brien. Mary Jane had been teaching ballet in the area since the early 2000s and wanted to create a space for students to learn and grow in the art of ballet. The school was initially located in a small studio in Rye, but quickly grew in popularity and eventually moved to its current location in the Rye Arts Center.

Programs and Classes

Rye Ballet Conservatory offers a variety of classes for students of all ages and levels. The school offers classes in classical ballet, contemporary ballet, jazz, hip hop, and tap. The school also offers a variety of performance opportunities throughout the year, including an annual recital and performances at local events.

The school also offers a pre-professional program for students who are interested in pursuing a career in dance. This program is designed to prepare students for a successful career in the professional dance world. The pre-professional program includes intensive classes in ballet technique, performance, and choreography.
