Great spot for cheap drinks where local beers are on tap and local ciders offered. They also have wine and mix drinks. You get a free hot dog (Hebrew national) with your drink order. We went early on Saturday (9:30ish) with no wait to get in. They card you at the door. It was very busy but we only waited 5ish minutes to order drinks. There is some seating inside but first come first serve. When we left there was a line to get in. Overall a great dive bar in NYC!

Super cool bar. Can't miss the outside, and the inside is just as neat. Drinks are delicious, bartenders are great, free hot dogs let you stay there even longer with a drink- and the crowd is an Eclectic group of cool people. Absolutely a must stop. Quick update – on a Saturday afternoon there's a woman behind the bar that deserves her own reality show. While I was drinking I watched her handle hundreds of people so perfectly! Again, she and Rudy's rocks!

Great place to have some beers in 9th ave. We looked for a cheap place, because Manhattan have very high prices when you want to drink a beer. Then we found Rudy's. You have a big variety of beers, local and importation. Prices for a pint started in 3$ (maybe 3 or 4 times cheaper than in other near places). The atmosphere was great and the bartenders friendly and fast. Highly recommended. Ah, and with every beer is included a hot-dog. Just ask for it 😉

My only regret is that I found this bar only on my second trip to NYC: this place is awesome! Fairly priced drinks and combos and something you'll not find easily these days: they give you hotdogs for free on purchases! Place is totally no-frills and yet it's cozy in a punk way: you'll be greeted by a giant plastic pig (Rudy, their mascot) stationed in the sidewalk by the bar entrance. Very classy in a real NYC sort of way, a time capsule, a must-see!
