Welcome to O’Riada-Manning Academy of Irish Dance! We are a premier dance school located in Mission, Kansas, dedicated to providing quality instruction in Irish dance and culture. Founded by two of Ireland’s leading professional dancers, Johnny O’Riada and Michael Manning, the academy has been teaching Irish dance for over 25 years. The academy has trained countless students in traditional Irish stepdancing, ceili dancing, and social dancing. We offer classes for all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and our instructors are experienced and passionate about teaching the art of Irish dance.

Our Mission

At O’Riada-Manning Academy of Irish Dance, our mission is to provide quality instruction in Irish dance and culture, while fostering a supportive and positive learning environment. We strive to create a safe and welcoming space where students can explore their creativity and develop their skills in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. Our instructors are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential, and we are committed to providing an enjoyable and rewarding experience for all of our students.

Our Instructors

Our instructors are some of the most respected and experienced Irish dance professionals in the United States. Johnny O’Riada and Michael Manning are both certified instructors with the Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America (IDTANA). Johnny is a former World Champion dancer, and Michael is a former All-Ireland Champion dancer. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the academy. Our instructors are passionate about teaching Irish dance and are committed to providing a positive learning environment for all of our students.

Classes

At O’Riada-Manning Academy of Irish Dance, we offer classes for all ages and skill levels. Our beginner classes are designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of Irish dance and provide a foundation for further study. We also offer intermediate and advanced classes for students who are looking to refine their technique and take their dancing to the next level. We also offer ceili classes, which are group dances that are performed in a circle or line formation. These classes are a great way to learn the social aspect of Irish dance and have fun with friends.

Events

In addition to our classes, we also host a variety of events throughout the year. Our events are open to the public and are a great way to experience the culture and joy of Irish dance. We host an annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, which features live music, Irish dancers, and a traditional Irish meal. We also host a summer ceili, which is a social gathering where people can come together to enjoy Irish dance and music.
