History

New Jersey Civic Youth Ballet was founded in 1994 by Artistic Director, David DeFusco. David has been teaching dance for over 25 years and is a graduate of the Joffrey Ballet School. He has worked with many professional dance companies and has performed on Broadway and in regional theaters.

Since its inception, NJCYB has grown to become one of the premier dance companies in the state. The company has performed at venues such as the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the State Theatre in New Brunswick, and the Paper Mill Playhouse. NJCYB has also been featured in local newspapers and on television.
