The NAU Community Music and Dance Academy is a dance school located in Flagstaff, Arizona. It offers a wide range of dance classes, including ballet, hip hop, contemporary, and jazz, as well as music instruction and private tutoring. It is part of the Northern Arizona University (NAU) community outreach program and is committed to providing quality dance and music education to the local community.

History

The NAU Community Music and Dance Academy was founded in 2011 as part of the Northern Arizona University Community Outreach Program. The mission of the Academy is to provide quality dance and music education to the Flagstaff community. The Academy has grown to become one of the premier dance schools in the region, offering a wide range of classes for students of all ages and skill levels.

Programs and Classes

The NAU Community Music and Dance Academy offers a variety of classes for all ages and skill levels. Our classes include:

Ballet

The Academy offers a comprehensive ballet program for students of all ages and skill levels. Our classes include:

• Pre-Ballet: A class for young students who are just beginning to explore the world of ballet.

• Ballet I: A class for students who have some previous ballet experience and are ready to take their skills to the next level.

• Ballet II: A class for more advanced students who are ready to take their ballet technique to a higher level.

• Pointe: A class for experienced ballet dancers who are ready to take on the challenge of pointe work.

Hip Hop Dance Class

The Academy also offers a variety of hip hop dance classes for all skill levels. Our classes include:

• Beginner Hip Hop: A class for students who are just starting to explore the world of hip hop.

• Intermediate Hip Hop: A class for students who have some previous hip hop experience and are ready to take their skills to the next level.

• Advanced Hip Hop: A class for more experienced dancers who are ready to take their hip hop technique to a higher level.

Music Classes

The Academy also offers a variety of music classes for all ages and skill levels. Our classes include:

• Piano: A class for students who are just starting to explore the world of music.

• Voice: A class for students who are ready to take their singing skills to the next level.

• Guitar: A class for students who are ready to learn the basics of guitar playing.

• Music Theory: A class for students who are ready to learn the fundamentals of music theory.

Private Tutoring

The Academy also offers private tutoring for students who want to take their dance or music skills to the next level. Our private tutors are experienced professionals who are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential.

Facilities

The NAU Community Music and Dance Academy is located in the heart of Flagstaff, Arizona. The Academy has a variety of facilities that are perfect for dance and music classes, including:

• Three large dance studios with sprung wood floors, mirrors, and barres

• A music room with a piano, drums, and other instruments

• A lounge area for students to relax and socialize
