MJ’s Academy of Dance is a premier dance school located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Founded in 2004, the school offers professional instruction in all forms of dance, from ballet and jazz to tap and hip-hop. With classes for all ages and levels, MJ’s Academy of Dance is the perfect place for aspiring dancers to hone their skills and learn the art of dance.

History

MJ’s Academy of Dance was founded in 2004 by Mary Jane (MJ) Smith. MJ was a professional dancer and teacher for more than 30 years, and she wanted to create a place where aspiring dancers could learn from her experience and expertise. MJ’s Academy of Dance has grown from a small studio to a full-fledged dance school, offering classes for all ages and levels.

Mission

At MJ’s Academy of Dance, our mission is to provide quality dance instruction in a supportive and nurturing environment. We strive to instill in our students a love of dance and an appreciation for the art form. We strive to create a community of dancers who are passionate about their art and who are dedicated to growing and learning together.

Classes

MJ’s Academy of Dance offers a variety of classes for all ages and levels. Our classes include ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and more. We also offer private lessons and group classes. We strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment in which our students can learn, grow, and discover their love of dance.

Instructors

At MJ’s Academy of Dance, our instructors are experienced, passionate, and dedicated to helping our students reach their goals. Our instructors are experienced in all forms of dance and are committed to providing quality instruction in a supportive environment. We strive to create an atmosphere in which our instructors can share their knowledge and experience with our students.

Events

At MJ’s Academy of Dance, we host a variety of events throughout the year. We host recitals, workshops, and master classes to give our students the opportunity to showcase their talents and to learn from experienced professionals. We also host social events to give our students the chance to connect with each other and to build community.

MJ’s Academy of Dance is open Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 9 PM. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
