Welcome to the Merrick Dance Centre, the premier dance school in the United States of America. Located in Merrick, New York, the Merrick Dance Centre offers a wide variety of dance classes and instruction for all ages and skill levels. From beginner classes to advanced classes, the Merrick Dance Centre has something for everyone.

A Little History

The Merrick Dance Centre was founded in 1990 by internationally renowned ballroom dance instructor, Tony Merrick. Tony had a vision of creating a place where people could come together to learn, practice, and enjoy the art of ballroom dancing. He believed that ballroom dancing was an important part of the American culture and wanted to share his passion with others.

Since then, the Merrick Dance Centre has grown into a premier dance school, offering classes in all styles of ballroom dance, from American Smooth and International Standard to Latin and Swing. The Merrick Dance Centre also offers classes in other styles of dance, such as Hip-Hop, Tap, and Jazz.

Our Instructors

The Merrick Dance Centre is proud to have some of the best instructors in the country. Our instructors are highly trained and experienced in all styles of ballroom dance. Our instructors are passionate about teaching and strive to make each class fun and enjoyable for all levels of dancers.

Our Classes

At the Merrick Dance Centre, we offer a variety of classes for all levels of dancers. Our beginner classes are designed to introduce the basics of ballroom dancing, while our more advanced classes are designed to help dancers hone their skills and perfect their technique. We also offer classes in other styles of dance, such as Hip-Hop, Tap, and Jazz.

Our Events

The Merrick Dance Centre also hosts a variety of events throughout the year. From our annual spring recital and summer dance camp to our monthly social dance parties, there is something for everyone at the Merrick Dance Centre. We also offer special events, such as our annual Black and White Ball, which is a formal event for all of our students and instructors.

Schedule and Contact Information

The Merrick Dance Centre is open Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 9 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM. We are closed on Sundays.
