What Students Say

First time visit for my wife and I on the third Sunday show. A pleasant atmosphere and not crowded. The manager is a nice guy; very friendly. Entry fee of $5 is a bargain. The particular band on this Sunday was ok. During band breaks we always enjoy dancing to particular recorded songs. I requested a song from a member of the band that was responsible for playing recorded music during their breaks, but I was ignored. Overall we had a good time and plan to return soon.

Honestly one of my favorite venues for nightlife in the Austin area. The entire vibe of the place is simply great. The patio and swings are my favorite. Drinks are affordable. People are friendly. Staff is on point and takes care of all my needs. The food truck is a fantastic addition. I like having it right there. Plenty of parking. The dress code is completely reasonable. And many patrons end up being like family. I love this bar.

Such a fun place to go unwind and dance it up. They do lessons on Fri and Sat. Chris and Sara on Sat are amazing (they are all good, these 2 are just our personal favorites). Good music and good dance floor. Even an outside area that seems to play more dance club music if you want a change. We haven't been outside to really check it out but hear the music as we are coming and going.

Mavericks is the best dance hall around San Marcos. So much fun for anyone. The dj is great just wanted a few more line dancing songs. The bouncers are THE BEST. We were uncomfortable with someone and they made sure to ask if we were ok when they noticed it and then took care of it and walked us to our car after to make sure we were safe. The best ever!! Staff is super nice.
