Marin Dance Theatre (MDT) is a dance school located in San Rafael, California. MDT is dedicated to providing a comprehensive dance education to all ages and skill levels, through a variety of classes and programs. MDT offers a wide range of dance classes, from beginner to advanced levels, as well as special classes for children and adults.

History of Marin Dance Theatre

Marin Dance Theatre was founded in 1988 by director and choreographer, Mark Tompkins. Mark has been a professional dancer and choreographer for over 20 years, and has worked with numerous dance companies and schools throughout the United States. In addition to teaching at MDT, Mark is also a faculty member at the University of California, Berkeley.

MDT is proud to be one of the oldest and most respected dance schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. MDT has grown to become a leader in the field of dance education, offering a wide range of classes and programs for all ages and skill levels.

Classes and Programs

MDT offers a variety of classes and programs for all ages and skill levels. MDT’s classes include ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and more. MDT also offers special classes for children and adults, such as pre-ballet and adult ballet. MDT also offers private lessons, workshops, camps, and special events.
