Garden State Ballet School was founded in 1997 by renowned ballet teacher and choreographer, Roberta W. Smith. Ms. Smith has been teaching and choreographing ballet and modern dance for over 30 years. She has also been a part of many professional companies and has taught at many prestigious schools. She has been a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet and has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Opera House.

Ms. Smith’s passion for dance inspired her to open Garden State Ballet School. She wanted to create a place that would offer quality instruction and a safe, nurturing environment for students of all ages and levels. Since its inception, the school has been a leader in providing quality dance instruction.

Classes
