Got a Living Social voucher for this place when I was visiting New York with my boyfriend for our anniversary. We're both lacking in rhythm, but Svetlana was patient, positive, and attentive. She taught us a few basics for three different styles of dance, and it was a great intro to dancing. If you're local, and you want to try something new with your partner (or by yourself) just because, this is a great hobby and skill to learn. Very fun!

From the minute I walked in, the studio felt like home. The space is beautiful, the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, and the studio director is the perfect combination of friendly, organized and assertive. I've danced at other studios before and I've never had an experience like FADS – NY Downtown. Whether you're looking to compete, learn a first dance for your wedding, or just looking for a new hobby, Downtown is the place to go!

Love dancing and learning with the team at Fred Astaire, they make you feel confident, and comfortable while teaching you how to dance. They even convinced me to participate in a Show Case, that was so much fun. If you want to stay fit and flexible while enjoying the music and learning some new steps i highly recommend this team. From Tango to Foxtrot with Salsa and ChaCha in between, for couples and singles, all welcome.

I love the downtown studio. It's welcoming, fun, and professional atmosphere make it a great place to be. The instructors are so gifted at teaching people to dance. They are kind and supportive to new dancers, but also challenge more experienced students to be the very best they can be. I am SO excited that this amazing team of dancers and teachers has opened a gorgeous new dance studio in downtown NYC.
