EVIDENCE was founded in 1989 by the late dancer and choreographer, Franklin A. Johnson. Johnson was a passionate dancer and educator, who wanted to provide an opportunity for young dancers to learn and grow in the art of dance. He believed that dance was an important part of the culture of the community, and wanted to create a school that would provide quality instruction and a safe environment for students to explore their creativity.

Since its inception, EVIDENCE has grown to become one of the most respected dance schools in the country. The school offers a variety of classes and programs, from beginner to advanced levels, for students of all ages. EVIDENCE also provides performance opportunities for its students, and has been featured in numerous productions and events.
