Dance lessons with Emily brought so much joy and connection to the final weeks of planning a wedding! Emily went above and beyond to research our song, even contacting the band for lyrics unavailable online. Her instruction style is clear and patient. We were motivated to practice because the lessons were fun and we made so much progress in a short time. Our family and friends were so impressed and happy to watch our first dance at the wedding! Emily is a phenomenal teacher. She is clear, knowledgeable, and hilarious. She uses concrete and helpful examples ("imagine you are driving a bus!" "picture yourself holding a lightsaber!"). She is LGBTQ-aware and doesn't use gendered language for leaders and followers, which is a huge difference from many other teachers I have had. She can teach a class of people at many different levels of comfort and experience. I wish she taught every dance class ever.

My husband Tim and I took 4 lessons with Emily to prepare for our wedding dance and has the BEST time! Emily is very friendly and approachable and made us feel relaxed through out the whole process. It was such a great experience to do with each other before the wedding and all of our guests loved the dance. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding. And we realized we need to do more dancing together and love it! 100% recommend!

Emily was so much fun to work with! She did a great job of meeting us where we were (with very little dance experience) and helped us choreograph a first dance for our wedding! Doing dance classes with Emily was a great way for my partner and I to become closer and do something fun before the wedding. We also created a first dance we were excited to showcase at our wedding making the dance one of the highlights of our day!
