History

Corpus Christi Ballet was founded by former professional dancers, Robert and Mary Lou Smith. In 1985, the Smiths opened the doors of Corpus Christi Ballet with a mission to provide quality dance instruction and performances to the community. Since then, Corpus Christi Ballet has grown to become one of the premier ballet theaters in the United States.

Corpus Christi Ballet offers a variety of classes and programs for both children and adults. Classes include ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and more. In addition to classes, Corpus Christi Ballet also offers performance opportunities, summer intensives, and workshops.
