Our History

Conservatory Ballet was founded in 2008 by professional ballet dancer and teacher, Jennifer L. Johnson. With a passion for ballet and a commitment to excellence, Jennifer created a school that would provide a nurturing, supportive environment for students to learn and grow.

Since its inception, Conservatory Ballet has grown to become one of the most respected ballet schools in the area. We offer a variety of classes for students of all ages and levels, from beginner to pre-professional. Our classes are taught by experienced, qualified teachers who are passionate about their work and committed to helping every student reach their fullest potential.

Our Facilities

Our facility is located in Reston, Virginia, conveniently located near major highways and public transportation. The facility includes two spacious studios, one specifically designed for ballet instruction and the other for other dance forms. Our studios are equipped with professional-grade sprung floors, mirrors, and barres to provide the best learning environment for our students.

Ballet

We offer classical ballet classes for all levels, from beginner to pre-professional. Our classes focus on developing strong technique and artistry, while fostering a love of the art form.

Jazz

Our jazz classes focus on developing strong technique and artistry, while introducing students to the fundamentals of jazz dance.

Modern

Our modern classes focus on developing strong technique and artistry, while introducing students to the fundamentals of modern dance.

Tap

Our tap classes focus on developing strong technique and artistry, while introducing students to the fundamentals of tap dance.

Pointe

Our pointe classes focus on developing strong technique and artistry, while introducing students to the fundamentals of pointe work.

Creative Movement

Our creative movement classes focus on developing strong technique and artistry, while introducing students to the fundamentals of creative movement.

Theater Dance

Our theater dance classes focus on developing strong technique and artistry, while introducing students to the fundamentals of theater dance.

Competition Teams

Our competition teams are for students who are interested in taking their training to the next level. Our teams compete at local, regional, and national competitions and are led by experienced, qualified coaches.

Performance Opportunities

At Conservatory Ballet, we believe in providing our students with performance opportunities to showcase their hard work and dedication. We host an annual spring performance, where our students have the opportunity to perform in a professional setting. We also offer our students the opportunity to perform in community events, such as parades and festivals.

We are open Monday through Friday from 1-8 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM. We are closed on Sundays.
