The Cleveland Ballet Conservatory (CBC) is a premier dance school located in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 2005, CBC is dedicated to providing a comprehensive dance education for students of all ages and abilities. Our mission is to foster a lifelong appreciation for the art of dance and to develop the skills of our students so that they may reach their full potential.

History of Cleveland Ballet Conservatory

The Cleveland Ballet Conservatory was founded in 2005 by Artistic Director and Choreographer, Joseph C. Vassallo. Mr. Vassallo has been in the dance world for over 40 years and has been a part of the Cleveland dance community since the mid-1980s. He has trained and performed with some of the greatest names in dance, including Mikhail Baryshnikov, Martha Graham, and Alvin Ailey.

In the early 2000s, Mr. Vassallo decided to open his own school in Cleveland in order to share his knowledge and passion for dance with others. The school was founded on the principle of providing quality instruction in a supportive and nurturing environment. Since then, CBC has grown to become one of the premier dance schools in the United States.

Programs at Cleveland Ballet Conservatory

At CBC, we offer a variety of dance classes and programs for students of all ages and abilities. Our classes range from beginner to advanced levels and include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Musical Theater. We also offer specialized classes such as Pointe, Partnering, and Choreography.

In addition to our regular classes, we offer a variety of performance opportunities for our students. We hold an annual recital in the spring, and our students also have the opportunity to perform in the Cleveland area at various events. Our students have performed at the Cleveland Playhouse, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
