Center Stage Academy of the Performing Arts is a dance school located in Warrensburg, Missouri. It provides a comprehensive program of dance instruction, choir, music school, performing arts theater, and preschool classes for children and adults of all ages and abilities.

Mission

The mission of Center Stage Academy of the Performing Arts is to provide quality dance instruction and performance opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment. We strive to create an atmosphere of respect and support for all of our students, teachers, and families. We are dedicated to providing a positive and enriching experience that encourages our students to reach their highest potential.

History

Center Stage Academy of the Performing Arts was founded in 1992 by professional dancer and choreographer, Elizabeth Smith. She wanted to provide a place where students could explore and develop their talents in dance, music, and theatre. Since then, the school has grown to become one of the premier dance schools in the Midwest.

Programs

Center Stage Academy of the Performing Arts offers a variety of classes for all ages and skill levels. We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, acrobatics, and musical theatre. We also offer classes in vocal music, piano, guitar, and ukulele.

Our preschool program is designed to introduce young children to the world of dance. We offer classes in creative movement, ballet, and tap. We also offer a variety of classes for adults, such as adult ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop.

Performances

Center Stage Academy of the Performing Arts puts on two major performances each year. Our Spring Performance is a full-length ballet, featuring our advanced students. Our Winter Performance is a variety show, featuring our students in a variety of dance, music, and theatre numbers. We also host a variety of other performances throughout the year, including our annual Nutcracker performance.

Faculty

Center Stage Academy of the Performing Arts has a highly qualified faculty of professional dancers, musicians, and teachers. Our faculty is dedicated to providing the highest quality instruction to our students. We strive to create an atmosphere of respect and support for all of our students, teachers, and families.

Center Stage Academy of the Performing Arts is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 9 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12 PM. We are closed on Sundays.
