Capoeira Arts Dance is a dance school located in New York City, NY. We specialize in teaching the traditional Brazilian martial art and dance of Capoeira. Our mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all levels of dancers to learn and practice the art of Capoeira.

History of Capoeira Arts Dance

Capoeira Arts Dance was founded in 2004 by master instructor and Capoeira master, Mestre Neguinho. Mestre Neguinho has been teaching and performing Capoeira for over 20 years and is widely recognized as one of the top Capoeira instructors in the world.

At Capoeira Arts Dance, we strive to provide our students with the highest quality instruction and training in the art of Capoeira. We believe in teaching our students the history, culture, and philosophy of Capoeira, as well as the physical aspects of the art.

Classes & Programs

At Capoeira Arts Dance, we offer classes and programs for all levels of dancers. Our classes range from beginner to advanced and are taught by experienced and certified instructors. We also offer private lessons and workshops for those looking for a more personalized experience.

For those looking to take their Capoeira skills to the next level, we offer advanced classes and programs such as our Capoeira Performance Troupe, Capoeira Regional, and Capoeira Angola. Our Performance Troupe is a group of experienced Capoeira dancers who travel around the world performing and competing.

In addition to our classes and programs, we also host special events such as our annual Capoeira Festival and our Capoeira for Kids program. The Capoeira Festival is a celebration of the art of Capoeira and features workshops, performances, and competitions for all levels of Capoeira dancers. Our Capoeira for Kids program is designed to introduce children to the art of Capoeira and teach them the basics of the art in a fun and engaging environment.

Our Instructors

At Capoeira Arts Dance, we are proud to have some of the most experienced and knowledgeable instructors in the world. Our instructors are all certified in Capoeira and have years of experience teaching and performing the art.

Our instructors are dedicated to providing our students with the best instruction and training possible. We believe in teaching our students the history, culture, and philosophy of Capoeira, as well as the physical aspects of the art. We strive to create an environment where our students can learn, practice, and grow as Capoeira dancers.

Schedule & Contacts

Our classes and programs are offered Monday-Friday from 7-9:30 PM and Saturday from 1-4 PM. We are closed on Sundays.
