Calera Dance Academy is a dance school located in the city of Calera, Alabama. Established in 1989, the school has been teaching and inspiring dancers of all ages for over 30 years.

At Calera Dance Academy, we specialize in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. We also offer classes in musical theater, contemporary, and other styles of dance. Our instructors are highly trained and experienced in their respective fields, and they strive to bring out the best in each student.

Classes and Programs

At Calera Dance Academy, we offer a variety of classes and programs to meet the needs of our students. Our classes are divided into three age groups: preschool, elementary, and middle/high school. We also offer private lessons and adult classes.

For our youngest dancers, we offer a variety of creative movement classes that focus on basic coordination and motor skills. Our elementary classes focus on building technique and performance skills. Our middle/high school classes focus on refining technique, exploring new styles, and preparing for auditions.

For our adult students, we offer classes in a variety of styles. Our adult classes are designed to help our students stay in shape while having fun.

Performances

At Calera Dance Academy, we believe in giving our students the opportunity to perform and show off their hard work. We host two performances each year—one in the spring and one in the fall. Our performances feature our students in a variety of styles, from classical ballet to hip-hop.

Competitions

For our more experienced dancers, we offer the opportunity to compete in regional and national competitions. Our competition teams have won numerous awards over the years, and we are proud of our students’ accomplishments.

Facility

Calera Dance Academy is housed in a state-of-the-art facility. Our facility features five large dance studios, a fitness center, and a student lounge. We also have a costume shop and a snack bar.

Schedule and Contact Information

Calera Dance Academy is open Monday through Thursday from 4-9 PM and Wednesday from 4:30-7 PM. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
