Barbara’s School of Dance is an Anchorage, Alaska-based dance school that has been providing quality dance instruction for over 25 years. The school offers a wide range of classes for all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Our instructors are highly experienced and passionate about teaching the art of dance.

History

Barbara’s School of Dance was founded by Barbara Johnson in 1995. Barbara has been teaching dance for over 40 years and has been a professional dancer and choreographer for over 20 years. She has taught at the University of Alaska Anchorage, the Alaska Dance Theater, and the Anchorage Ballet.

Classes and Programs

Barbara’s School of Dance offers a wide range of classes and programs for all ages and skill levels. We offer classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and ballroom dancing. We also offer specialized programs for those interested in competing and performing.

Instructors

Our instructors are highly experienced and passionate about teaching the art of dance. Our instructors have extensive experience in a variety of dance styles and have performed professionally in many venues. Our instructors are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential and strive to create a positive atmosphere in the classroom.

Location

Barbara’s School of Dance is conveniently located at 1317 E 74th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99518. We are open Monday-Friday from 4:30-7pm and Saturday from 9:30am-3:30pm.
