She has also choreographed for multiple dance companies and has been involved in the production of several ballets.

In 2002, Maria opened Ballet Western Reserve Inc with the goal of providing quality dance education to students of all ages and backgrounds. Since then, the school has grown to become one of the premier dance schools in Ohio.
