Ballet Theatre of Maryland (BTM) is a non-profit organization, dance school, and ballet theater located in Annapolis, Maryland. Founded in 1982, BTM has been providing high quality dance instruction and performance opportunities to the Maryland community and beyond for over thirty years.

Mission

BTM is dedicated to providing quality dance instruction and performance opportunities to the Maryland community and beyond. Our mission is to promote the appreciation and understanding of the art of dance through education, performance, and outreach.

Dance School

BTM offers a wide range of classes for all ages and skill levels. We offer classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Modern. In addition, we offer classes in Pilates, Yoga, and Zumba. We also offer summer camps and special workshops throughout the year. All of our instructors are highly experienced and certified in their respective dance styles.

Dance Company

BTM is home to a professional dance company that performs throughout the year. The company performs a wide range of styles, from classical ballet to modern and contemporary works. The company performs at local venues, as well as at festivals and other events throughout the country.

Ballet Theatre

BTM is also home to a professional ballet theatre. Our theatre produces full-length ballets, as well as shorter works. We strive to bring the best of classical and contemporary ballet to our audiences. Our theatre also offers educational programs, such as lectures and workshops, to help our audiences better understand and appreciate the art of ballet.

Outreach Programs

BTM is committed to giving back to the community. We offer outreach programs to local schools and organizations, providing free or low-cost dance instruction and performance opportunities. We also offer scholarships to students in need.
