Athens Jazz Workshop (AJW) is a school in Athens, Georgia, dedicated to teaching jazz, tap, and ballroom dance. Founded in 2004, AJW has become one of the most respected dance schools in the United States.

Our Mission

At AJW, our mission is to provide quality dance instruction and to foster a community of dancers who are passionate about their art. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all of our students, regardless of their level of experience.

At AJW, we believe that dance should be accessible to everyone. We strive to create an environment that is both challenging and supportive, so that our students can reach their full potential. We also believe that dance should be fun and that it should be a source of joy and inspiration.

Our Classes

At AJW, we offer a variety of classes for all levels of experience. Our classes are designed to be both challenging and rewarding, and our instructors are experienced and passionate about teaching.

We offer classes in jazz, tap, and ballroom dance. Our jazz classes focus on technique, improvisation, and choreography. Our tap classes focus on rhythm and improvisation. Our ballroom classes focus on technique, musicality, and partnering.

Our Instructors

At AJW, we are proud to have some of the best instructors in the United States. Our instructors are experienced and passionate about teaching, and they strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all of our students.

Our instructors have a variety of backgrounds and experience, and they are all dedicated to providing quality instruction. We are proud to have instructors from a variety of disciplines, including ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, and Latin.

Our Facilities

At AJW, we are proud to have some of the best facilities in the United States. Our facility is equipped with a sprung wooden dance floor, mirrors, and a sound system. We also have a viewing area for parents and friends to watch classes.

Our Schedule

At AJW, we offer classes for all levels of experience. Our classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We also offer private lessons and workshops.
