My son has been part of the ABCCNJ family from first grade to his present 11th. Meistre Gaivota is a great leader whose motto "If you're not smiling, you're doing it wrong" is infectious! There is a great spirit about this place and the capoeristas who make it a community. Capoeira is a beautiful art, and a cultural, musical and physical activity all in one.
I've visited many capoeira schools in New Jersey and this is by far the best capoeira experience I've had in the area. If you are looking to get started with a friendly group and teacher, I highly recommend this place.
I have been training with this Capoeira Academy for 4 years. It is an excellent space that is family friendly. The students are very welcoming and it is a great place to learn.
My three kids and I train here every week. Great people, truly knowledgeable instructors and a really sense of community. This is a great place.
