West Hawaii Dance Theatre & Academy (WHDTA) is a premier dance school located in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Founded in 1998, WHDTA has been providing quality dance instruction and performance opportunities to the local community for over two decades. With an experienced and dedicated staff, WHDTA offers a wide range of dance classes for children, teens, and adults of all levels.

At WHDTA, our mission is to provide quality dance instruction and performance opportunities to our students in a safe and supportive environment. We strive to nurture a passion for dance and to instill a sense of pride and accomplishment in our students. We also strive to provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere for our students, and to foster a spirit of collaboration and camaraderie among our instructors and students.

Our Programs

At WHDTA, we offer a wide range of dance classes for children, teens, and adults of all levels. Our classes include ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and more. We also offer classes for special needs students, as well as classes for those who are interested in competing or performing.
