About Oconee Youth School of Performance

The Oconee Youth School of Performance (OYSP) is a dance school located in Watkinsville, Georgia, USA. Founded in 2002, OYSP is dedicated to providing quality dance instruction to children and young adults. Our mission is to foster creativity, self-expression, and physical fitness through the art of dance.

At OYSP, we offer a variety of dance classes for all levels of students. We specialize in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and contemporary dance, as well as musical theater and ballroom dance. Our classes are taught by experienced and certified instructors who are passionate about dance and dedicated to helping their students reach their full potential.

In addition to our classes, we also offer special events and performances throughout the year. We host an annual recital, which showcases our students’ hard work and progress. We also offer summer intensive camps, workshops, and master classes to help our students hone their skills.

OYSP is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for our students. We strive to create a positive and inspiring atmosphere where our students can learn, grow, and thrive.

Classes Offered at Oconee Youth School of Performance

At OYSP, we offer a variety of classes to meet the needs of our students. Our classes are divided into the following categories:

Ballet

Our ballet classes are designed to help students develop strength, coordination, and grace. We offer classes for all levels, from beginners to advanced. Our instructors focus on proper technique and body placement to ensure that our students are getting the most out of their classes.

Jazz

Our jazz classes are designed to help students develop their musicality and expressiveness. Our instructors focus on proper technique and body placement, as well as improvisation and choreography.

Tap

Our tap classes are designed to help students develop rhythm and musicality. Our instructors focus on proper technique and body placement, as well as improvisation and choreography.

Hip-Hop

Our hip-hop classes are designed to help students develop their style and expressiveness. Our instructors focus on proper technique and body placement, as well as improvisation and choreography.

Contemporary

Our contemporary classes are designed to help students develop their technique and expressiveness. Our instructors focus on proper technique and body placement, as well as improvisation and choreography.

Musical Theater

Our musical theater classes are designed to help students develop their acting and singing skills. Our instructors focus on proper technique and body placement, as well as improvisation and choreography.

Ballroom

Our ballroom classes are designed to help students develop their social dancing skills. Our instructors focus on proper technique and body placement, as well as improvisation and choreography.
