Their colorful walls and fanciful décor are delightful and create an inviting atmosphere that immediately engages our girls when they walk through the door. They learn all the traditional positions and techniques of ballet through imaginative descriptions that captive their young minds. The studio has a comfortable waiting area with a clear view of the class and a variety of toys, which is very helpful for parents who are waiting with other children. We are very pleased!

Melina’s is a small studio that puts kids first – with a strong focus on creating a dance family for kids, dancers are encouraged, challenged, and supported in every class and at every show. The dance teachers build up self esteem and confidence – dancers of all sizes and abilities are welcomed with open arms, which is not always something you find at other studios. Melina’s is special – you won’t find another dance family like it in northern VA.

My daughter has been dancing at this amazing establishment since she was 4. She is now almost 10 and thriving and loves dance more every single day! She loves to be at Melina’s and if anything it is her home away from home. She is there most nights of the week and not only loves all the instruction from ballet to jazz to musical theatre to lyrical… she loves being with all her friends and the teachers and staff. We love Melina’s!

Melina’s provides quality dance education in a nurturing environment. The staff is professional and truly cares about each dancer. My daughter has thrived at Melina’s, and we were so glad that dance instruction continued virtually even when Covid shut down other events and activities. This studio has made a positive impact on our dancer, and consistently supports our community. We are thrilled to be part of the Melina’s family!
