South Shore Ballet Theatre is a premier ballet school and performing arts group located in Hingham, Massachusetts. Founded in 2011, the school offers a wide range of classes for all ages and skill levels, from recreational to pre-professional. Our mission is to provide quality instruction and performance opportunities for our students, while fostering a strong appreciation for the art of ballet.

History

South Shore Ballet Theatre was founded in 2011 by Artistic Director, Alexandra Kostalas. With a passion for ballet and a background in dance, she wanted to create a space for dancers to learn, grow, and perform in a supportive environment. Under her leadership, the school has grown into a thriving institution with over 200 students and a full-time faculty of professional dancers and teachers.

Programs

South Shore Ballet Theatre offers a variety of classes for all ages and skill levels. Our recreational classes are designed to introduce students to the basics of ballet technique and movement, and our pre-professional classes are perfect for those looking to take their dancing to the next level. We also have a variety of programs, including our Summer Intensive, Performance Company, and Summer Dance Camp.

Faculty

Our faculty is comprised of professional dancers and teachers who are dedicated to providing quality instruction and a positive learning environment. Our faculty is committed to fostering a strong appreciation for the art of ballet and helping each student reach their full potential.

Performances

South Shore Ballet Theatre puts on several performances throughout the year, including our annual production of The Nutcracker. We also host our own performances, as well as participating in community events and festivals.
