Marylou’s School of Dance is a premier dance school located in Queens, New York. Founded in 1991 by Marylou Johnson, the school has been providing quality dance instruction for over 25 years. Marylou’s School of Dance offers classes in a variety of styles, including jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet, and contemporary. The school is dedicated to providing a safe and positive environment for students of all ages and abilities to learn and grow.

Our Mission

At Marylou’s School of Dance, our mission is to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment for our students to explore and develop their passion for dance. We strive to create a positive learning atmosphere where our students can reach their full potential as dancers and as people. We believe in teaching the fundamentals of dance while also encouraging creativity and individual expression.

Our Instructors

The instructors at Marylou’s School of Dance are highly qualified and experienced in a variety of dance styles. Our instructors are dedicated to providing quality instruction and mentorship to our students. They are passionate about helping our students reach their goals and build strong foundations in dance.

Classes

Marylou’s School of Dance offers a variety of classes for all ages and abilities. We offer classes in jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet, and contemporary. We also offer private lessons and special workshops. Our classes are designed to be fun and engaging, while also focusing on developing strong technique and skills.

Events

At Marylou’s School of Dance, we host a variety of events throughout the year. We host student showcases, dance competitions, and special workshops. We also host fun social events such as movie nights and game nights. These events are a great way for our students to show off their skills and have fun with their fellow dancers.

Schedule and Contacts

Marylou’s School of Dance is open Monday through Friday from 3:30-7 PM and Saturday from 10 AM-1 PM. We are closed on Sundays.
