Spotlight Dance (Foncie’s Dance City) is a dance school located in Corpus Christi, Texas. The school offers a wide variety of dance classes, from beginner to advanced levels, in both social and competitive dance styles. From ballroom to Latin, hip-hop to ballet, Spotlight Dance has something for everyone.

History

Spotlight Dance was founded by Foncie Fitzgerald in 1980. Foncie was a professional dancer and instructor who wanted to create a place where people could learn to dance in a fun and supportive environment. Since then, the school has grown to become one of the most respected dance schools in the United States.

Classes

Spotlight Dance offers a wide range of classes for all ages and skill levels. Our classes include:

Ballroom

Our ballroom classes teach the fundamentals of ballroom dancing, including Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, and Cha-Cha. We also offer advanced classes for those looking to refine their skills.

Latin

Our Latin classes teach the basics of Latin dance styles, including Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Rumba. We also offer advanced classes for those looking to refine their skills.

Hip-Hop

Our hip-hop classes teach the fundamentals of hip-hop dance, including breaking, popping, and locking. We also offer advanced classes for those looking to refine their skills.

Ballet

Our ballet classes teach the fundamentals of classical ballet, including the five basic positions and the basic steps of the different ballet styles. We also offer advanced classes for those looking to refine their skills.

Facilities

Spotlight Dance is located in a spacious, well-equipped facility in Corpus Christi. Our facility includes two large dance studios, a lounge area, and a full-service bar.

Staff

Spotlight Dance is staffed by a team of experienced instructors, all of whom have been trained in the latest dance techniques. Our instructors are passionate about teaching and strive to make every class fun and enjoyable.
