The O’Donovan School of Irish Dance was founded in 2003 by Maureen O’Donovan, a former competitive Irish dancer who has devoted her life to the art of Irish dance. Maureen had been teaching Irish dance for many years and wanted to create a school that would provide a safe and nurturing environment for students of all ages and levels of experience to learn and grow.

Maureen is a certified Irish dance teacher and has been teaching for over 25 years. She has been a judge at many competitions and has also choreographed for the stage. She has won numerous awards for her teaching and choreography, and her students have been successful in competitions both nationally and internationally.

Classes

The O’Donovan School of Irish Dance offers classes for all ages and levels of experience. Classes are divided into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels, and each level is further divided into age groups. The school also offers private lessons for those who wish to focus on specific areas of Irish dance.

The school also offers a variety of performance and competition opportunities for its students. The school has a performance troupe, the O’Donovan School of Irish Dance Troupe, which performs at various events throughout the year. The school also hosts an annual competition, the O’Donovan Irish Dance Competition, which is open to dancers from all over the world.
