The Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater (SNHDT) is a premier dance school, ballet school, dance company, performing arts group, and performing arts theater located in Bedford, New Hampshire. Founded in 1994, SNHDT is dedicated to providing quality instruction in a variety of dance styles, from ballet to contemporary, and inspiring students of all ages to reach their highest potential.

Our mission is to inspire students to reach their highest potential as dancers, artists, and citizens of the world. We strive to create an atmosphere of respect and support, where all students are encouraged to grow and develop as individuals.

History

SNHDT was founded in 1994 by artistic director and choreographer, Margaret Lefebvre. After a successful career as a professional dancer, Margaret wanted to share her love of dance with others. She opened SNHDT with the goal of creating a space for students to explore and develop their own unique style of dance.

Since then, SNHDT has grown to become one of the most respected dance schools in New England. We offer a wide range of classes for students of all ages and abilities, from beginner to advanced. We also offer a variety of performance opportunities, from our annual recital to professional performances.

Classes & Programs

SNHDT offers a wide range of classes and programs for students of all ages and abilities. Our classes include ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and more. We also offer a variety of performance opportunities, from our annual recital to professional performances.

For our youngest students, we offer creative movement classes for ages 3-5. These classes are designed to introduce young children to the basics of dance and movement, while also providing a fun and creative outlet.

For our older students, we offer classes in ballet, jazz, and contemporary. These classes are designed to challenge students and help them develop their technique and artistry. We also offer a variety of performance opportunities, from our annual recital to professional performances.

SNHDT is proud to have a highly experienced and dedicated faculty and staff. Our faculty are professional dancers and teachers with years of experience in the dance industry. They are passionate about teaching and inspiring students to reach their highest potential.
