Sol Dance Studio is a fantastic studio for every level of student. Right in the heart of Astoria, it is easy to get to, and once you're there the atmosphere lends itself to learn how to make the right moves on the dance floor. You won't just learn the proper steps. You will learn how to incorporate those moves in real dance situations. The instructors are friendly and patient. If you are looking for just the right school, you owe it to yourself to give Sol Dance a try.

This place is completely awesome. I am a terrible dancer and wanted to try ballet, so my husband bought me a gift card for a private, one-hour session. My instructor, Carla, was absolutely wonderful — she taught me a lot of basics in an exceptionally friendly, fun, and encouraging way. My only complaint is that there aren't currently any adult-level beginner ballet classes at Sol! I'll try to go again for a private session once I've had some more practice.

I attended my first Salsa class at Sol Dance Center! Even though it felt very awkward & vulnerable for me, the class had other beginners too which made it more comfortable! Also, the teacher was very good with his instruction & I kept my eyes on focused on his footwork the whole time! 😀. It was especially fun when the music was playing! I plan on attending more classes & I am sure the confidence will grow & the fun will increase too!! Next up Bachata!! ❤️

Our experience with Leo and Joe was extraordinary! We took lessons with Leo for our wedding’s first dance. It turned out to be the best experience of the entire wedding prep. Leo was incredibly helpful and encouraging. We enjoyed every single dance lesson and Joe made the scheduling process very smoothly. We had a blast and we were very happy with the final product. Very nice, friendly and professional people
