History

Koresh Dance Company was founded in 1991 by Ronen Koresh, a former dancer with the Batsheva Dance Company in Israel. After moving to the United States, Koresh established the company in Philadelphia with the goal of creating a unique and innovative style of modern dance that combines elements of classical ballet, jazz, and Israeli folk dance.

Since its founding, the company has grown and expanded its repertoire to include a wide range of styles and genres, from contemporary ballet to hip-hop and jazz.
