History

Xavier High School was founded in 1847 by the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits. Since its founding, the school has been dedicated to providing a rigorous education in the Catholic tradition. The school has a long and proud history of educating students from all backgrounds, and has produced many notable alumni, including two Nobel Prize winners, several Pulitzer Prize winners, and numerous other distinguished individuals.
