The Rochester Academy of Irish Dance is a world-class dance school located in Rochester, New York. The Academy was founded in 2018 by Deirdre O’Connor, a world-renowned Irish dancer and teacher. Deirdre has been teaching Irish dance for over 20 years and has been teaching in the Rochester area since 2006.

At the Academy, students learn traditional Irish dances as well as modern and contemporary Irish dance. The Academy also offers performance opportunities and competitive Irish dance teams for those interested in competing.

The Academy is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all of its students. The Academy’s instructors are highly experienced and qualified to teach Irish dance.

Classes and Programs

The Rochester Academy of Irish Dance offers a variety of classes and programs for dancers of all ages and levels. The Academy offers classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers, as well as classes for children and adults.

The Academy also offers a competitive Irish dance team for those interested in competing. The competitive team is open to dancers of all ages and levels.

Facilities and Equipment

The Rochester Academy of Irish Dance is equipped with a large dance studio with sprung floors and mirrored walls. The studio is also equipped with sound system and a changing room.

The Academy also has a full-time staff of instructors and a team of volunteer instructors who are highly experienced and qualified to teach Irish dance.

The Rochester Academy of Irish Dance is open Monday-Friday from 4:30-8:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 AM-12 PM and 10 AM-6 PM.
