Polaris Dance Theatre is a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 2002, Polaris Dance Theatre (PDT) is dedicated to providing quality dance performances and educational opportunities to the Portland community. PDT is a professional dance company, a dance school, and a performing arts group.

Our Mission

At PDT, our mission is to bring the joy of dance to all members of the community. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our students, and to teach the fundamentals of dance in a fun and engaging way. We also strive to provide quality performances and educational opportunities to the Portland community, and to create innovative and inspiring works of art.

Our Programs

PDT offers a variety of programs for all ages and levels of experience. Our dance classes range from beginner to advanced, and include ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern, and more. We also offer specialized classes for children, teens, and adults.

In addition to our classes, PDT also offers performance opportunities. We have a professional dance company, which performs in various venues throughout the year. We also have a performing arts group, which performs in schools and other community settings.

Our Facilities

PDT has two facilities in the Portland area. Our main facility is located in Northwest Portland, and includes three large studios, a theater, and a lobby area. Our second facility is located in Southeast Portland, and includes two studios and a lobby area. Both facilities are fully equipped with the latest equipment and technology.

Our Staff

PDT is staffed by a team of experienced and dedicated professionals. Our staff includes teachers, choreographers, and administrators. Our teachers are all certified in their respective disciplines, and have many years of experience teaching and performing. Our choreographers have a wealth of knowledge and experience in creating innovative and inspiring works of art. Our administrators are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our students.
