History

Garth Fagan Dance was founded by Garth Fagan in 1978. Fagan had been a dancer and choreographer in the Caribbean and had moved to the United States in 1966. He quickly began working with Rochester’s Inner City Ballet and later established the Garth Fagan Dance Company. Since then, the school has grown to become one of the most respected dance schools in the country.
